    Pete Allen is a recent business retiree who, in 1973, moved his family to Westborough for a financial executive job. Beginning in 1979, he shifted his concentration to office supplies marketing roles of increasing responsibility with Avery Dennison. Then in 1993, he became the VP of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development for a nearby small pharmaceutical company. In 2003, Pete began part-time consulting, while volunteering with various area nonprofits, especially in the leadership of SCORE’s Worcester County Chapter.

    Among his SCORE roles, since 2004 he has been the Director of its small business mentoring branch based in Westborough, which partners with the Corridor Nine Chamber. Pete and his wife Kris have both been involved in public service to Westborough for many years. Most recently, since 2010, Pete has been a member of the Advisory Finance Committee.

    Pete has a B.A. in Economics from Williams College and an M.B.A. from Dartmouth’s Tuck School.

    Principal, Transportation Planning and Operations Division, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc.

    Robert Nagi is a professional engineer and serves as a Principal in the transportation planning and operations division of Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB). Rob’s role at VHB focuses on working with both public and private entities on various planning and infrastructure projects throughout the New England area and with a specific focus on the MetroWest area of Boston. Rob specializes in working with small and large scale, high profile private developers as they work their way through the design, entitlement, and permitting processes in the Commonwealth. He also works with a number of communities and state agencies helping to develop public planning and infrastructure projects.

    Rob enjoys working with the Westborough EDC as it provides him the opportunity to identify opportunities for investment in his community. Rob serves as a resource to the committee in identifying and negotiating the various local and state agency hurdles and bringing together the various parties to collectively advance a project that will ultimately benefit the investor and the community.

    Gary P. Sanginario

    Gary P. Sanginario is an attorney-at-law and maintains an office in Westborough, Massachusetts. He has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1983. He was formerly associated as a partner with two Boston law firms for many years. He is a graduate of New England School of Law, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association. He is involved with various local organizations and is a member of the Westborough Housing Partnership.

    “In order to give back to the community in which I live and work, I serve as an Ambassador to the Economic Development Committee. I enjoy promoting the benefits of our town to businesses so they will locate, expand and be successful in Westborough.”
